Snapshot Founder’s Story
After 43.5 years of incarceration, I re-entered society with a mission of revelation and redemption. My name is Richard Richard, also known as "Tabari," and I am the founder of *L.I.F.E. 2.O, INC.* Through this nonprofit, I am committed to fostering healing, growth, and transformation for incarcerated youth, men, women and at-risk youth.
As a redeemed man, father, grandfather, and friend, I have dedicated my life to making a difference. Now serving as Executive Director and Motivational Speaker for *L.I.F.E. 2.O* (Looking Inside for Empowerment Outside of Incarceration), I use my story to inspire and empower others, encouraging positive life choices and meaningful change.
With extensive experience in prison life and personal development, Richard has completed numerous programs, including Mindfulness Meditation, Non-Violent Communication, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Restorative Justice, Narcotics Anonymous, and the Substance Abuse Program. Since 2020, he has been actively involved in the Project Return Peer Support Network, providing guidance and support to others re-entering society.
Richard's experience as a facilitator and mentor includes leading groups such as Criminal and Gang Member Anonymous, Houses of Healing, Actor's Gang, and Reaching N One. He has also served as a teaching artist with Creative Acts and engaged in freelance speaking on topics like prison reform and restorative justice.
Richard's speaking engagements span various settings, including schools, prisons, and community organizations. He has shared his insights on emotional awareness, overcoming trauma, and the importance of making healthy choices. His work aims to educate and inspire others to embrace change and redemption, highlighting the potential for transformation regardless of past circumstances.
